Heritage
No survey of the
arts can be complete without referring to the culture and
history behind them. This refers to Scottish traditions such
as storytelling or song, influences from Ireland and from
ethnic minorities. It also refers to the history of the people
and buildings of North Lanarkshire and of the people involved
in different arts in the past. It is the heritage of Scotland
and North Lanarkshire that gives the Arts in the area their
own special character.
