We're Back
North
Lanarkshire Arts Association (NLAA) was formed in
May 2001. It is an independent voluntary group which receives
support from North Lanarkshire Council. It exists to promote
the Arts in North Lanarkshire, encourage participation,
increase skills and support members, whether these are
voluntary or commercial organisations or individuals.
NLAA
is volunteer led, by a Committee of volunteers drawn from
all areas of North Lanarkshire and representing many different
art forms. It is currently free to join and membership is
drawn from those organisations and individuals that have
an interest in the Arts in North Lanarkshire. In turn, these
people are invited to comment on how they would like to
see the organisation develop.
It
runs a programme of meetings, usually with a guest speaker
talking about a relevant subject, is building up information
including a Directory of Arts organisations and businesses,
and an inventory of suitable venues. It runs an annual programme
of Seminars in practical areas of concern to those involved
in the Arts, and communicates regularly with the membership
on topical subjects. It also disseminates information on
what's on in the Arts field.
This
website has been developed with visually impaired users
in mind. We would appreciate feedback
from such users as to the usability of the site and suggestions
for improvements.
